Meet the Hen

I’m a mother, grandmother, nurse, home cook, gardener, baker, and author. Cooking has always been tied to family for me, and I believe some of our best memories are made around the kitchen table.

Many of my recipes come from feeding a large family and turning ordinary meals into traditions. I cook mostly from scratch and love food that feels comforting, familiar, and worth sharing with the next generation.

The Hen House grew from my love of food, family traditions, gardening, and storytelling. I grow herbs and vegetables for my kitchen and am building Hen House Baked, a Texas cottage bakery inspired by nostalgic favorites and family recipes.
